Goal Mine

Well, I passed my Series 7 test this past week. I'll be taking the Series 66 on the 11th of August and then I will be a certified financial advisor. Thank you! Then, I will be able to give out advice on retirement planning and investment strategies. You should be hearing more and more about the new company that American Express has decided to spin off. Check out http://www.ameriprise.com/. Though I hate to lose the American Express brand name, it may be good to not have potential clients identify me with a credit card company.
I am truly passionate about the state that America is in now and doing my part to fix what I can. Our nation (from a federal and individual perspective) is fiscally irresponsible and must plan diligently to avoid financial catastrophe. Many of the Baby Boomer's are ill prepared for retirement as they have witnessed dramatic increases in the cost of education, health care, housing, and commodities (gas prices, etc). Though the market has given investors some nice gains over the past few years; without a solid plan in place, these individuals will have to come to grips with cruel realities. I was reading that most retirees are living on roughly $25,000 a year in income. This may be enough for some people, but it ain't for FatMack.
The solution is for people to have a plan in place. It's a fact and studies prove that people who write their goals down, over time are more successful in terms of achievement than those who don't. Therefore, it is critical for everyone reading this to take time to write their goals down over the weekend and make sure that you are doing activities that will lead to their accomplishment.
My goals mostly revolve around business achievements. Others may have physical, spiritual, or other goals that meet specific objectives. These goals should be measurable and realistic. Check out my goals that I have made for myself. This exercise was great for me and the sharing of these goals with my friends and readers will keep me to them. Please feel free to comment and/or share your goals with me. I will take pleasure in looking them over and advising you on my thoughts as well as keeping your ass in line over time...
